Painting is a very complex art form because it needs of some previous knowledge to coalesce a landscape, a face or a feeling. The most important thing is to play with the colors, the shapes and the shadows.
Watercolor involves painting over paper or cardboard with transparent colors where we sometimes allow for this paper support to be seen through the painting, making it become a real tone.
Watercolor is the terrain whose criteria are the most subjective, which is what makes it easier to work the color with greater freedom that form. We more often demand of form to be strictly mimetic. My trajectory with this technique is strictly self-taught. I am passionate about the spatula and the brushes, and about the different tipes of strokes watercolor allows. Erasing and scratching, I searchfor different textures useing rich hand-made papers, sometimes also using acrylic for even richer textures and sensations.
My ouvre’s main themes are landscapes and still-lifes worked at with a style very close to Impressionism.
Watercolor’s experts say that it is a paitning for the lover of color, vital and soft, despite the power that it manifests at every brush stroke.
